happy new year!

Happy New Year everyone! I am excited for 2007 to start and I figured it was time for an update. If any of you are here because I directed you from my Christmas letter, let me first say welcome! I spent a little bit of time today making this new layout, I was feeling festive and I never got around to making one for Christmas! Also, my apologies if you received your Christmas card late. I was sick with the flu for the week and a half before Christmas and did my best to get them in the mail in a timely manner!I hope everyone had a nice holiday, we tried very hard to! We both came down with a stomach flu on Christmas Eve but thankfully we were back to normal by Christmas Day. I ended up making soup for dinner instead of a big dinner like we had planned, though. Otherwise, we had a nice, quiet day with just the two of us, a first since we've been together. The only sad part about it was not being able to see more people opening their presents, that really is the best part of Christmas for me!

On New Years Eve Forest's sister Laura came over with her boyfriend Adam for dinner. We tried to light some fireworks but didn't have much luck finding a spot to do so. In Texas you can only light fireworks during certain times of the year and only on county-owned land. Everywhere we've ever gone before has since become incorporated! We found a spot that we thought was county land but ended up being part of Fort Worth. We got caught by a police officer and could have been in huge trouble but thankfully the only thing we had lit was a sparkler!

This website is officially two years old! I can't believe it myself. It has evolved quite a bit in the past two years and I've learned a lot about web design. Things have also changed a lot in our lives over that time span as well!

Some updates to look out for in the next week or two are in my gallery. It is not completely done yet, unfortunately, but I will get working on that! My last two trips to Michigan have not been updated yet and I will get those done first.

Have fun looking around!
